Kate Jones, Lead Facilitator

Kate brings nearly 25 years of broadcast journalism experience to Six O’Clock Advisory’s Six-Star Communication Skills Training and Executive Coaching modules.

She began her career in regional television with WIN News before joining the Seven Network in Melbourne, where she worked as both a reporter and senior producer in one of Australia’s leading commercial TV newsrooms. As an award-winning reporter and highly-regarded producer, she has told more than 5,000 news stories, all featuring her strong storytelling capability and sharp news judgement.

At Six O’Clock, Kate brings fresh insights and practical advice as she helps clients prepare for interviews and engage confidently and purposefully with journalists.

Kate’s journalistic expertise blends with Six O’Clock’s other media and communication training facilitators who have served as company spokespeople to offer a unique and powerful combination of media engagement experience.

Kate has been a director on the board of respected journalism representative body, the Melbourne Press Club, and taught final-year journalism students at RMIT University.
